- Description for Presolicitation Notice for VA-256-12-R-0601 Interim DME Services: Initial solicitation was issued under VA25611RP0222 which was a 100% Total Small business Set-aside and is pending award. The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, 400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS intends to sole source an Interim (Requirements Firm Fixed Price) contract to Team Adaptive, Inc for the requirement of delivery services of VA-owned Durable Medical Equipment (DME)/Home Medical Equipment (HME) to VA Beneficiaries to include other services detailed further in contract. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, storage, and equipment necessary to transport DME. This is to include accessories and provide maintenance (repair, preventative, and cleaning/sanitizing to The Joint Commission standards). Contractor shall possess any and all licenses, permits, certificates, and insurance as required by law to perform DME services. The contractor shall demonstrate that they meet or exceed The Joint Commission standards but does not necessarily have to obtain the accreditation; however, accreditation shall be favored more technically. The contractor shall have operations to cover the four sites: Biloxi, MS; Mobile, AL; Pensacola, FL; and Panama City, FL. The NAICS code is 621610 and the small business size is $13.5 million. The duration of this Interim is for the time period of March 1, 2012 through May 31, 2012 with four (4) one-month options. This is for continuation of services for our Veterans until the long term contract can be awarded. See attached justification and approval.
