- Description
- Flood events in the winter of 1997 caused the Hoh River to migrate drastically to the south to within close proximity of the wells that provide water to the Hoh community water system. This project seeks to develop an alternative source of drinking water and improvements currently include; 1. Install approximately 12,850 lf of 8" ∅ PVC-C900 Class 150 water distribution main. 2. Install approximately 10,250 lf of 4" ∅ PVC-C900 Class 150 water distribution main. 3. Install approximately 265 lf of 12" ∅ PVC-C900 Class 150 water distribution main. 4. Install approximately 80 lf of 24" ∅ steel cased road boring. 5. Install (8) 8" gate valves. 6. Install (8) 4" gate valves. 7. Install (12) 1" air/vacuum valves. 8. Install (4) fire hydrants 9. Install (1) water level control valve with vault. 10. Install (1) water service line with meter. 11. Clear vegetation from both sides of well site access road 12. Clear and grub treatment building, well site, and tank site. 13. Construct well site and treatment building pad 14. Construct (1) water treatment building, building electrical and controls 15. Construct (1) degasifier unit and basin 16. Extend power and telephone service approx. 260 LF to treatment building. 17. Drill (2) new community wells. Conduct pump test and water testing. 18. Install (2) well pumps, level sensors and appurtenances. 19. Extend power to well pumps from treatment building. 20. Install approx. 320 lf of 8-foot chain-link fence with barbed wire and gates. 21. Construct tank access road and construction pad 22. Construct (1) 73,000 gallon concrete water storage tank 23. Resurface disturbed gravel surfaces. 24. Hydro seed all disturbed areas 25. Abandon two existing wells 26. * Install (5) sampling stations. 27. * Abandon and dispose of the existing well control panel and shelter. 28. * Abandon and dispose of the existing degasifier tank, tower, control panel and shelter. * May be optional bid item Project completion time is currently defined to be 330 calendar days after the notice to proceed. When interested parties respond to this Sources Sought notice, Indian Health Service requests the following information be provided: 1. Company Name, 2. Address, 3. DUNs Number, 4. Contact Name, 5. Phone Number, 6. Business Size(s) and Eligible Socio-Economic Status' held, 7. Bonding Capacity (individually as well as with business relationships, if planning to submit with others); estimated range of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000, 8. Any information that may be pertinent to the impending solicitation request, 9. Limit responses to three pages, 10. Emails and hard copy submissions will be accepted (no FAXs).
