- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a modification to an existing Delivery Order (DO) under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-07-G-0008 with the Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office, 401 Tiltrotor Drive, Amarillo, TX 79111. For the delta Non-Recurring Engineeing (NRE); retrofit procurement and installation of thirteen (13) wiring harness conversions from conventional harnesses to integral braid sock adapters, a change in wiring type from Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) to composite type TelflonR polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) located within the left hand and right hand nacelles; and the retrofit installation of 7 separate sets of wiring harnesses onto the MV/CV-22 Osprey which were previously procurred from Bell-Boeing under a separate contract vehicle. This effort will be awarded on a sole source basis. Bell-Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the V-22 Tiltrotor aircraft and is the only known source that possesses the requisite knowledge and expertise required to perform this effort. Also, Bell-Boeing is the only source that possesses the totality of engineering and technical data required to perform these efforts.
