- Description
- The purpose of this project is to manage the woody vegetation in designated areas of Training Areas 41, 43, and 44 to support heavy Brigade Combat Team HBCT training. The management of vegetation will be accomplished by hand cutting all mesquite and Ashe Juniper 5 inches and less at basal diameter (i.e. chainsaws, loppers, and/or weed wackers with metal blades for smaller trees) and spraying mesquite stumps with a herbicide. All slash will be mulched. All species will be treated without ground disturbance. Site visit will be conducted at 0900 - 1200, 22 March 2012; at 105 Memorial Drive, Gatesville, TX. No other site visit will be possible.
