- Third Request for Information (RFI) for CubeSat Cryptographic Solution (CCS) 1. This publication constitutes a Request for Information (RFI). Any formal solicitation will be announced separately. This RFI is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. If you provided a technical approach to the March 2011 and August 2011 RFI's, then please be consistent with the previous RFI's. For those proposing for the first time, please refer to the archived RFI solicitations SMCC-0411 and SMCC-0811. 2. This RFI is NOT a Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or an announcement of a solicitation; it is only intended for information or planning purposes. There is no bid package or solicitation document associated with this announcement. Response to this RFI is strictly voluntary and will not affect any potential offeror's ability to submit an offer if a solicitation is released. Any requests for a solicitation package will be disregarded. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the government will arise as a result of preparing submissions in response to this RFI and the government's use of such information. Submittals will not be returned to the sender. Respondents to this RFI may be requested to provide additional information/details based on their initial submittals. 3. CPSD is investigating the approaches for a Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) constrained device for CubeSats. We are requesting information from industry on the efforts currently underway or planned to utilize for use in CubeSats. 4. Upon receipt of a PKI certificate signed e-mail to brandon.jernigan@us.af.mil or samuel.page.1@us.af.mil, the questions the government developed to date will be sent to interested companies. 5. This RFI issued by CPSD solicits industry to provide information only.
