- FERC-12-Q-0028 FERC-12-Q-0028.docx The Commission is seeking technical assistance to support the 2012 Assessment of Demand Response and Advanced Metering: Staff Report (Staff Report.) The assistance is generally structured under three key categories which are described in more detail below. These categories include: "Survey Operations Support: including survey finalization activities; developing methods to extrapolate and/or estimate results based on expected data; developing and applying methods to ensure collected data accurately reflect the survey universe; survey distribution, data collection, processing and editing; and quality assurance of the data collected from the survey instrument and help desk support functions; "Data Analysis: which includes extrapolating from the response data to develop estimates that reflect the survey universe in various key segments (e.g., respondent type, customer class, region, market), expert analysis and supporting rationale of significant trends and events reflected in data, and analysis and development of supporting rational to explain historical trends in data from current and past FERC survey efforts and using the results to develop the information for the 2012 Staff Report; "Report Preparation: which includes assisting in the development of text and graphics to document findings from the analysis of the data, in appropriate format to support publication of hard-copy and web-based versions of the 2012 Staff Report.
