- The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) intends to procure a sole source five (5) year, Firm Fixed Priced, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract for the 40MM Practice, Day/Night M1110 (DODIC BA35) to American Rheinmetall Munitions (ARM), Inc., 925 Corporate Drive Suite 315, Stafford, Virginia 22554; ARM is a subsidiary of Rheinmetall Waffe Munitions (RMW). RWM is currently producing the BA35 as part of a Foreign Comparative Test Program under a Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division contract number N00178-05-C-1025. RWM owns the Technical Data Rights for the cartridge, and the company has unique knowledge and production line capabilities for immediate production of the BA35. For this follow-on procurement, RWM/ARM is the only vendor deemed qualified to deliver an item that can satisfy the United States Marine Corps (USMC) requirement. It is estimated that a total of 7,200,000 BA35 units will be purchased over the next five (5) years. Estimated contract award is November 2012.
