- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), South San Francisco, CA, has a requirement for janitorial service. The USDA intends to award a firm fixed price contract for a base year and four one-year options. The solicitation will be issued on or about January 26, 2012. The solicitation will be posted to this website. The Government intends to provide the solicitation and all amendments via this website only. This will be best value procurement. It is anticipated that the formal solicitation, Request for Quotation (RFQ) AG-6395-S-12-0029, will be released on or about January 26, 2012, and posted on this FEDBIZOPPS website. Please download the RFQ from this website. All responsible offerors may submit an offer. After release, one may download a copy of the solicitation at this site. If Yes, what type of dispensers are installed? A2. YES, AS STATED IN THE SOLICTATION. THE DISPENSER IS A STANDARD GEORGIA PACIFIC. Q3. Who is the current contract holder? How many personnel do they employee to maintain this contract? What was the contract award amount? A3. CURRENT CONTRACTOR IS PEPPER BROTHERS; $1200 PER MONTH ON A ONE YEAR PURCHASE ORDER. ONE PERSON CLEANS THE FACILITY. Q4. What is the square footage of carpeted flooring? A4. 2369 SQUARE FEET Q5. What is the square footage of hard flooring & the type? A5. TILE = 500 SQUARE FEET; CEMENT = 2800 SQUARE FEET Q6. What is the square footage of restroom tile flooring? A6. EACH RESTROOM IS 100 SQUARE FEET Q7. What size trash container liners are needed? A7. SMALL AND MEDIUM Q8. How many trash containers are there? A8. 17 - 20 SMALL WASTE BASKETS Q9. What type of soap dispenser refills are required? A9. SMALL, GOJO and DERMAPRO Q10. How many soap dispensers are there? A10. 3 (THREE) Q11. How many upholstered chairs are to be cleaned annually? A11. APPROXIMATELY 53 UPHOLSTERED CHAIRS. Q12. How many & what size windows are to be cleaned annually? A12. 21 - 5 X 10; 2 - 2 ½ X 10; 2 GLASS DOORS -- 3 X 10 Q13. How many floors is this facility? A13. 5 (FIVE) Q14. How many & what size are the venetian blinds to be cleaned annually? A14. 23 - 5 X 10; 2 - 2 ½ X 10 THE RESPONSE DATE WILL REMAIN UNCHANGED AS IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THE QUESTIONS ASKED WOULD NOT SIGNIFICANTLY ALTER A CONTRACTOR'S QUOTE.
