Description

A site visit has been scheduled at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. The site visit will be held on 16 February 2012 at 09:00am PST. This meeting is not mandatory to be eligible to bid; however, interested parties may ask additional questions relating to this requirement. These questions will not be posted after the conclusion of the meeting. For information regarding base access and directions contact Denise Bond via email prior to 2:00pm on 15 February 2012 at denise.bond@med.navy.mil. Refer to attached document for answered questions. For consideration, please submit all questions via email by 7:00am PST on 26 January 2012. Questions submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Answers to follow. The Contracting Department, Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), San Diego, CA, 92134 intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract, utilizing procedures under FAR Part 13, for Commercial Items, for cable television and internet service with WiFi for Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. The requirement calls for service to start 1 March 2012 and end 30 September 2012 followed by two full option years. A complete RFQ package (N00259-12-T-0648) will be available on or around January 13, 2012 by downloading the documents at the NECO Website as follows: http:// www.neco.navy.mil. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 517919. The attached solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-55. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Contractors that are not registered in the CCR database may be given time to register if the requiring activity allows for a delay. However, if the needs of the requiring activity do not allow for a delay, the next otherwise successful registered offeror shall be granted the award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Salient Characteristics that may satisfy the requirement include: -Cable television services -285 outlets -Channels 2-70 -Two Camp Pendleton Channels -Internet Service with WiFi for Patient Rooms & Waiting Areas -Approximately 10 cable modems throughout the service areas -Customer support
