Description
Per request of the Joint Program Executive Office, Joint Tactical Radio System, the Wideband Networking Waveform (WNW) Reference Implementation Laboratory(RIL) will host a follow on WNW Interoperability Quicklook (WIQ) laboratoryevent at the Space and Naval Warfare System Centers (SSC) Atlantic. Due toissues concerning differences between WNW 4.0.5.1 and WNW 4.0.4.3 and theavailability of WNW 4.0.5.1, the original effort (Scheduled for late January2012) had to be postponed to provide vendors adequate time to port WNW 4.0.5.1.The objective of this event is to provide vendors the opportunity to test theirplatforms in a heterogeneous network and to serve as a cost-effective riskreduction exercise for upcoming networking waveform evaluations. This lab testis expected to include JTRS Program of Record (PoR) and non-JTRS PoR developersthat are willing to provide suitable (i.e., suitable for integration and fielduse) WNW 4.0.5.1 capable hardware with necessary support personnel. Testing will commence 27 February 2012 with mandatory vendor checkouts in thelab starting 23 February 2012 (working through the weekend). Testing isexpected to last two weeks. Testing will provide an evaluation of each vendor'slevel of interoperability with the AN/VRC-107 (GMR). Evaluation will alsoinclude stability and functionality in a multi-vendor heterogeneous network.Further functionality and performance testing can be requested from the WNW RILthrough a Commercial Service Agreement (CSA) 2539(b). A number of test caseswill be designed, documented in the test plan and offered to participants atthe event. Participants will be permitted to select the tests in which theywish to participate. Results of testing will be provided to the JPEO JTRS andSystem of Systems Integration (SOS-I), but analysis of a particular vendorstesting will not be provided to other vendors and proprietary information willbe protected. The JTRS Enterprise Network Manager (JENM) will be used to createconfigurations for the AN/VRC-107 radio and a plain-text version of the RadioMission Data set (RMDS) will be distributed to all participants for evaluationand integration prior to the test event. In order to participate in testing, vendors will be required to have met thefollowing set of entrance criteria:WNW 4.0.5.1 Capable Radio, suitable for integration in a vehicle and use in thefieldTRANSEC ImplementationWNW HAIPE ImplementationRed-to-Red CommunicationRed and/or Black Key Implementation If a vendor is interested in testing but cannot meet the entrance criteria asstated above, please contact Brett Bendt for further information. Interested parties should contact Brett Bendt at SSC-LANT(brett.bendt@navy.mil) no later than 17 February 2012. Interested parties willbe provided the Software Test Plan for the upcoming WIQ.
