- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Electronic Proving Ground (EPG) at Fort Huachuca, AZ, has a requirement for FEKO software training as follows: CLIN 0001 Training session for 15 participants in a classroom provided by EPG on Ft. Huachuca, AZ. Training length of two days (24-25 April 2012), 8 hours/day with a one hour lunch and two 15 minute breaks. The full version of FEKO shall be installed by the vendor on trainee computers prior to the start of the first day's training session. Training will ensure a working knowledge of FEKO software at completion of training and give trainees the opportunity to learn all the numerical methods available in FEKO. FEKO training shall: -give multiple examples using different numerical methods for FEKO antenna modeling, and when and how to set up and solve those methods for different kinds of applications in the FEKO environment; -include how to create computer aided drawings (CAD) and how to create ports and excitations to the CAD models; -present examples of how to take a near field and far field measurement; -present use "post FEKO" in order to explain how the FEKO user can create graphs and reports from the modeled object; -provide instruction in the Antenna Magus application. Training session shall have two instructors so that while one instructor demonstrates antenna model examples another instructor is on hand to assist trainees as required. Instructors must be proficient in modeling antennas with FEKO, FEKO import and export modules for CAD and modeling antennas with the Antenna Magus software. Instructors shall be proficient in installing software on training computers. The due date/time for quotes is 21 February 2012 at 3:00 p.m. AZ time.
