Description
This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION ONLY. Contractors interested in inspecting the site of the proposed work should contact Trev Albright, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Email: Trev.Albright@usace.army.mil Telephone: (701) 727-6127. Provisions in the solicitation documents will provide detailed information pertaining to the site visit (date, time, meeting place, points of contact, and access requirements). DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See 'Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. Project Description: (Approx. quantities) A munitions maintenance facility is required to conduct maintenance operations including assembly, corrosion control, and time compliance technical order on various munitions components and containers. The facility is required to be located at a safe distance from other buildings and follow quantity/distance (Q/D) constraints. The facility will require blast proof construction techniques, conditioned work areas and adequate parking for vehicles. The facility will have drive-through work bays, office space, tool room, and a training and ready room. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $10,000,000 to $15,000,000. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 540 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to ORCA. Once you have located your project, click on link to solicitation to view the project. Files may be downloaded from the column on the right side reading 'All Files' or from the 'Packages' tab. 4.
