- NOTICE OF INTENT The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 7, Augusta, Georgia, is considering awarding a sole-source contract to Firefly Facilitation, Inc., 210 Interstate North Parkway SE, Atlanta, GA 30339-2234, to: Scope of Work: Conduct training with the various Site Teams throughout the NCO for one full day in appropriate locations: Augusta, GA; Atlanta, GA; Columbia, SC; Birmingham, AL; Charleston, SC; Tuscaloosa, AL; Central Alabama Healthcare System (CAVHCS); Dublin, GA; Construction Specialty Team; and the NCO Support Staff with the sites to be determined. The purpose of the training is to provide the team members with the expectations for customer service levels; responsiveness; and team communication and cohesion as determined by the Network Contract Manager (NCM). A proposed list of training topics includes: The Journey to Service Excellence - what does it mean; what might it look like Leader's Expectations - Sharing and Clarifying Goals- explaining your responsibility in achieving them Customer Interactions - Key words and Key times - how to handle internal and external customers A Positive Attitude - How you can demonstrate it in your everyday interactions Responsiveness/Accuracy/Expertise - Aligning the Professional Status with Outcomes Who are your team members Next Steps Facilitator must be able to change the process real-time to meet the specific needs of the client as they arise in the session. Vendor must be a certified practitioner of the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument and an expert facilitator in the unique process mapping approach Prior facilitation work with teams of the Network Contracting Office preferred, but not required Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with facilitating team building training Understanding of the Network Contracting Office Structure and mission Sessions should be broken down into seven 50 minute sessions with a 50 minute meal period. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product to Juan A. Jusino, Contracting Officer, at juan.jusino@va.gov or FAX: (478) 274-5771 by February 17, 2012 no later than 2:00 PM EST. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541611 with a Small Business Size Standard of $7 million. This is for informational purposes only and not to be construed as a commitment by the government. Any information submitted to this notice of intent is voluntary. The availability and capability of qualified small business sources; whether they are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Small Business, HUB Zone 8(a), Women-Owned, or small disadvantaged business concerns; and their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible.
