Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (V18 NCO), in support of the VA Southwest Health Care Network (VISN 18.) intends to negotiate a Sole Source Procurement for the movement of three nuclear medicine cameras located at the Phoenix VA Medical Center to Siemens Medical Solutions, Malvern, PA. This procurement is being accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 6.302- 1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Three nuclear cameras (a Siemens Symbia S-Series variable SPECT camera including computer and monitor, a Toshiba E.CAM dual-head emission imaging system, and a Siemens E.CAM dual scintillation camera including components) will be relocated from Building 1 of the Phoenix VA Medical Center to the basement of Building 8 of the Phoenix VA Medical Center. All equipment will be systematically powered down, disconnected from electrical power and the hospital network, and then be similarly reconnected to the utilities in the new location. The movement of the three cameras shall coincide with the conclusion of a construction contract schedule and not cause undue delays. Timing shall be staged to ensure that nuclear medicine clinical operations are not interrupted. Movement of the equipment may not violate the existing warranties and service contracts currently in place. The applicable NAICS for this requirement is 334510 and size standard is 500 employees. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete the proposed procurement is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will NOT be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer (9-90C) ATTN: L. Danielle Provencio, V18 NCO, 3601 S. 6th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85723. If no responses are received, the V18 NCO will proceed with the sole source procurement to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., 51 Valley Stream Pkwy., Malvern, PA 19355-1406.
