- NASA/DFRC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP)for RESEARCH FACILITIES ANDENGINEERING SUPPORT SERVICES (RF&ESS).The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Thisprocurement is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are541712 and 1500 employees, respectively.All responsible small business sources may submit an offer which shall be considered bythe agency.The anticipated release date of the draft RFP is February 23, 2012, with the final RFPissuance on April 2, 2012 and an anticipated offer due date of on or about June 4, 2012.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The installation ombudsman isPatrick Stoliker, DFRC Associate Center Director. Mr. Stoliker may be reached at661-276-2706 or Patrick.C.Stoliker@nasa.gov.The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASABusiness Opportunities home page is http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=.Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It isthe offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible fordownloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). All contractual technical questions must be submitted in writing (e-mail or fax).
