- Description
- NASA/Headquarters (HQ)has a requirement for offsite parking spaces, access cardsand management services for 200 employees starting in March 2012 for approximately 7months with (4) 1 year option years at the following locations 1201 and 1225 Eye Street,Washington, DC. NASA HQ's intends to issue a purchase order with Central Parking Systemfor these services since they manage these locations and therefore are the only companyavailable for award of this order. The sole source authority used is only one responsiblesource 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) 'Only one responsible source and no other supplies orservices will satisfy agency requirements' (See FAR 6.302-1).The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local timeon February 17, 2012. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
