The intent is to promote as much competition as possible thus the reasoning for posting this prior to the solicitation release. This is the reason that this pre solicitation notice may not be posted for 15 days. *DATA Package is Available - Look under Packages TAB in FedBizOpps* This is a notice of the intent that WR-ALC anticipates issuing a contract for the purchase of the following items: 1. Adapter, Puller-Grbox Seal Face Rotating Ring, ST, NSN: 5120-01-260-3722, Basic quantity: 2 each Option year I: 1 - 5 each, Option year II: 1 - 5 each, Option year III: 1 - 5 each, which is applicable C-17 Globemaster III Cargo Aircraft. 2. Pin, Aligning, NSN: 5120-01-284-0572, Basic quantity: 3 each. Option year I: 1 - 5 each, Option year II: 1 - 5 each, Option year III: 1 - 5 each, which is applicable C-17 Globemaster III Cargo Aircraft. 3. Puller, Knocker-GRBOX, IDGS Drive Seal Retainer, NSN: 5120-01-257-5629. Basic quantity: 4 each. Option year I: 1 - 5 each, Option year II: 1 - 5 each, Option year III: 1 - 5 each, which is applicable C-17 Globemaster III Cargo Aircraft. 4. Puller, Mech, No. 5 Bearing, NSN: 5120-01-346-5936. Basic quantity: 10 each (3 of which are FMS requirements). Option year I: 1 - 5 each, Option year II: 1 - 5 each, Option year III: 1 - 5 each, which is applicable C-17 Globemaster III Cargo Aircraft. The option quantity will not exceed 5 each in each option year, but can be ordered from time-to-time, after the effective date of Government approval of First Article Test Report. The total quantity ordered under this option shall not exceed the maximum quantity of 5 each, per NSN/CLIN. The First Article is required unless no more than 48 months has elapsed since completion of the contract and the offeror meets the following criteria: a)has previously furnished production quantities of the same or similar article to the prime contractor for delivery to the United States Air Force; and/or b) currently is in production of the same or similar article for a United States Air Force contract and who has received First Article approval under the existing contract; and/or c) has previously furnished production quantities of the same or similar articles to the United States Air Force, provided articles thus furnished, have exhibited satisfactory performance in service in the opinion of the United States Air Force. The condition for First Article wavier will be stated in the solicitation. The First Article will be part of the production quantity. (NOTE: The Government will make the final decision if the First Article Requirement can be waived) A Test Plan and Test Report will be required if First Article is not waived. Solicitation to be released on 8 February 2012 with a response date of 8 March 2012. The anticipated/estimated award date is on or about 8 June 2012.
