- FA8620-10-G-3028 0063 This is a pre-solicitation synopsis. The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) Medium Altitude UAS Division intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. for MQ -1 Airborne Cueing and Exploitation System Hyperspectral (ACES Hy) Unique Aircraft Installation Kits and Ground Control Stations (GCS) Retrofit Kits. The contractor shall update ACES Hy unique B-Kit and ground control station modification kit engineering drawings and associate documentation to support the production effort, build six (6) ACES Hy GCS unique modification kits build twelve (12) ACES Hy MQ-1 Block 15 unique B-kits and build one (1) spare for ACES Hy B-kit and one (1) spare for GCS modification kit. This notice is not a request for competitive proposal. General Atomics is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the MQ-1 Predator system and has been identified as the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform this effort. The Government does not own the full data rights for the system; therefore, to avoid duplication costs, the Government intends to award the effort pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302.1.
