- DRYDOCK REPAIR FOR NOAA SHIP FAIRWEATHER This is a sources sought request for information. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), is seeking a contractor to provide dry-dock repair for NOAA ship Fairweather Requirement: The Contractor shall furnish all necessary personnel, material, equipment, services and facilities (except as otherwise specified), to perform dockside repair services required by the statement of Work/Specifications. A listing of the tasks likely to be performed is as Follows: Primary Items: Dry-docking & Berthage, Utilities and Services, ABS Hull & Machinery Surveys, Underwater Hull Preservation, Hull Above Waterline, Anchors and Chains, Launch Davit Replacement, Zink Renewal, Cathodic Protection Repair, SSDG Replacement, Chain Locker & Hawsepipes, Shaft Seals & CPP Inspection. Optional Items: E Deck Preservation, Chiller Bulkheads & Shelving, QWS Installation, Bilge Cleaning, Starboard Steering Pump Replacement, Potable Water Tank Inspect/Preserve/Sanatize, Install PW Halogenation, Shore Power Connection Replacement, HVAC System Cleaning. Additional Work Requirements (Over and Above): as may be required. NOTE: This is a summary description of the items. An actual invitation for bids / request for proposals, if issued, will be accompanied by a SOW and or specifications. The Government anticipates a Firm Fixed Price type contract. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 336611 with a size standard of 1,000 Employees. Please provide the following information: 1) A statement that you believe that your firm has the capability to meet all these requirements and perform these services. 2) Your firm's DUNS number & CAGE code; 3) Your firm's SBA certified small business concern status. Specifically identify if your firm is HUBZone-certified, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, or SBA 8(a) program certified; 4) A brief description of your firm's recent past experience (within past 3 years) performing relevant similar services. All information received in response to this notice shall be treated as Business Sensitive or confidential to the responder, exempt from public release under the Freedom of Information Act. All information shall be provided free of charge to the Government. This notice is not a request for proposal. The purpose of this announcement is to gather information from the market place and any responses received will not be considered an Offer by the responding party and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No telephone inquires will be accepted and requests for solicitation packages will not be granted, as no solicitation has been prepared at this time.
