Description
Replace the boiler with two, high efficiency, gas-fired boilers sized for approzimately 67% of building load each. THE FOLLOWING ITEMS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE PROJECT SITE: All construction waste daily. Any and all hazardous waste must be identified and tested before demo in accordance to state and federal laws. FURNISH AND INSTALL THE FOLLOWING: Remove existing boiler system. All waste shall be recycled. Contractor shall provide a schematic drawing of the proposed boiler installation including all piping, pumps, valves, flue, etc. Contractor shall provide a written sequence of operation for the proposed system that maximizes energy efficiency and system life expectancy. Abate ACM from pipes and exhaust to the limits of the project scope and manifest shall be provided to the PM. All ACM shall be abated in accordance to all state and federal laws and be licensed in the State of Tennessee. Replace the boiler with tow, high efficiency, gas-fired boilers sized for approzimately 67% load of building load each. These boilers shall be at min 85.6% Thermal efficiency. These boilers shall work in lead and lag. They will also have the ability to run parallel. The system shall connect to the existing plumbing but all controls and valves shall be new. The controls shall interface both boilers to a head unit. The head unit will be tied in to the building. The system also shall be set up to run independently of each other for the ability to take one boiler off line. Reconnect exhaust in accordance to the manufactures specifications. Contractor shall verify existing breach and flue size are sufficient for good draft and exhaust. Contractor shall provide GSA with Boiler and Control submittals prior to purchase. Contractor shall provide a one day training for the GSA O&M on site staff. All electrical work to NEC standards. The quality of materials and finishes shall be equal to or exceed existing. All new equipment shall be tested for proper function.
