Description
The United States Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit Juneau, Alaska is conducting a market survey to determine if potential sources are available and capable to provide miscellaneous Paving & Associated Repairs under an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity construction contract in support of USCG Base Support Unit (BSU) Kodiak Island, Alaska. The acquisition would consist of a base year, and would include four (4) 1-year option periods for a total potential award of five years. There would be no guarantee that the Government would continue performance beyond the initial one-year period and option periods would be exercised at the sole discretion of the Contracting Officer. The total estimated value of the acquisition would be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 inclusive of all option years. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237310. Work would consist of pavement repairs and replacement based on pre-priced line items as part of the base contract. In addition to use of the pre-priced line items under the contract, the government would have the ability to negotiate ancillary, related work. This sources sought synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Specific Survey Information Desired: a) Name and addresses (including phone numbers and Point of Contacts (POC s) of firms interested in and capable of providing these requirements; b) Catalog and other company literature; c) Any contractor restrictions in meeting the requirement. For example indicate if your operations are limited to certain geographical areas; d) Indicate if your firm is a Small or Large Business, VOSB, HUBZone and/or 8(a); e) Provide evidence of enrollment in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). All responses should be submitted by March 9, 2012 to the Contracting Officer, USCG CEU Juneau, P. O. Box 21747, Juneau, AK 99802-1747. Responses should not exceed (5) single-sided, 8-1/2” x 11” pages with the font no smaller than 10 point. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for the sole purpose of obtaining information from prospective Offerors. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation will be issued at this time. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing a response to this notice.
