Description
Solicitation The OO-ALC/PKESA, Hill AFB Utah, intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a Fixed Firm Price contract for Brand Name Dupont IMRON 6000 paint to the responsible quoter whose proposal conforms to the solicitation, which will be most advantageous to the government. The Government reserves the right to not make an award at all. Brand Name Purchase Circumstances/Mission Impact: The 309th AMXG Corrosion Control Flight is under contract to strip and paint "Fat Albert" the US Navy Aerial Demonstration Team Blue Angels C-130 support aircraft. Naval Aviation (NAVAIR) engineering and NAVAIR drawing 14E2359 dated 2010-06-04, requires IMRON 6000 manufactured by DuPont be utilized on all the Blue Angels F-18 and C-130 aircraft. This coating is being used by all the aircraft in the Blue Angels flight and must be utilized to maintain uniformity and consistency. This coating is designed where superior performance and superior appearance is required. This high performance, high gloss, extremely durable and chemical resistant system is one of the only coatings available in the required metallic and pearl colors. NAVAIR has evaluated numerous similar coating systems with DuPont IMRON 6000 the only one that met their performance and appearance requirements. Failure to acquire this coating in a timely manner will result in the 309th AMXG's failure to meet required schedules to support the ongoing wartime effort, missed pre-negotiated delivery dates and the possibility of losing the workload as well as preventing the OO-ALC center from performing its mission. All payments are to be paid via the Internet through the Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) system. WAWF may be accessed at https://wawf.eb.mil. WAWF training may be accessed online at http://www.wawftraining.com. Payment information may be accessed using DFAS website at https://www.dfas.mil. Your purchase order/contract number or invoice will be required to inquire the status of your payment.
