Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs as referred by the VA Medical Center, Beckley, West Virginia is seeking potential sources capable of providing Janitorial/Custodial Services for the Veterans Readjustment Counseling Center located in the City of Beckley, WV. This Janitorial/Custodial Service will be provided at the above location in accordance with a schedule showing frequency and work as follows: DAILY- empty trash receptacles, sweep entrances, lobbies, and corridors. Damp mop and spray buff all floors in entrances along with additional requirements. WEEKLY- thoroughly dust all horizontal surfaces of furniture in office areas along with additional requirements. MONTHLY - Thoroughly dust all horizontal surfaces of furniture in office areas. - Thoroughly vacuum and spot clean carpets and/or sweep full floor areas in office space. c. MONTHLY - Sweep and/or vacuum all stairs and landings. Spot clean wall surfaces and floors. d. EVERY TWO MONTHS - Clean entrance rugs. e. QUARTERLY - Dust vertical surfaces and walls in office areas. f. SEMI-ANNUALLY - Strip floors located in the bathrooms and rear entrance way and apply four coats of finish. g. AS REQUIRED - Wash or damp wipe inside and outside of wastebaskets. h. BATHROOM(s)- Are to be completely cleaned daily to include restocking of paper towels and toilet paper. All cleaning supplies to include paper towels, hand soap, and toilet paper will be supplied by the VA. The area to be cleaned is currently approximately 3,159 square feet. This cleaning area will increase by an additional 1500 sq feet August 2012. The required cleaning time will be five days a week minima 2 Hours maxima 4 Hours. The NAICS code for this requirement is 561720. Size standard is $16.5 Mil. This is a sources sought notice only. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Responses to this notice should include the following: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories - 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; firm's experience in providing custodial services in a professional setting and any other pertinent information, which demonstrates ability to meet the above requirement.
