- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement for services to conduct in-depth demographic and habitat surveys on the Desert Tortoise Interpretive Center Long-term Desert Tortoise Study Plot in Kern County, California. The contractor must be on the USGS Principle Investigator, Kristin Berrys, Fish and Wildlife Service Permit and California Department of Fish and Game Memorandum for the contractor to conduct a survey of desert tortoises on the study sites. The contractor and all field crew members must have previous experience with tortoises, tortoise sign, and anthropogenic impacts. Period of Performance is estimated to be: 03/01/2012 through 09/30/2012. Competitive procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, will be utilized. This competition is small business set-aside under the NAICS code 541620 Environment Consulting Services, with a size standard of $7.0 M. It is anticipated that the Request for Quote G12PS00146 will be posted to this site on or about 02/15/2011 with quotes due on or about 02/28/2011. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. THIS REQUIREMENT IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS
