- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE - Upgrade Building 12 HVAC at the VA Hospital in Madison, WI. Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, temporary protection, qualified supervision, overtime, and other items designated under the provisions of this contract as outlined in the contract specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. Scope includes, but is not limited to: construct an approximately 2500 sqft penthouse above Bldg 12 and provide and install a new air handling unit (fans, cooling coils, steam coils, filter sections, humidifier, etc.); variable frequency drives, and associated controls. Major elements of the work include but are not limited to demolition, general construction, glazing, structural steel erection, electrical and telecommunications, plumbing and fire sprinkler, HVAC and control work. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOpps. There will be a pre-bid conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the solicitation package. This solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms. The solicitation will be issued on or about February 24, 2012 with the bid opening on or about March 27, 2012. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 Million applies. Time for completion is 360 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
