- Description
- The proposed 'Trust in Crowds' (TiC)solution will assess the trustworthiness of crowdsourced reports (and reporters)using validated algorithms that explicitly and implicitly exploit dynamic social networks, additional data(e.g., authoriative sources), analyst and crowd feedback, and analysis of report content. The TiC solution will extend existing algorithms through new research and explore hybrid assessment techniques(e.g., combining local and global trust assessment techniques). The results of the trust assessment techniques will be provided to the user in a form that can aid information explotation and decision making. Lastly, the TiC solution will provide a framework that can be extended with new algorithms and that interoperates with a commerical crowdsourcing platform such a Ushahidi.
