- The National Park Service, Department of the Interior, is soliciting offers from firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at https://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Prospective bidders desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at https://ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. No other notifications will be sent.Issue Date: On or About March 8, 2012Bid Closing Date: On or About 2:00 PM CST April 9, 2012Solicitation Number: P12PS40219Title of Project: Replace Exterior DoorsDescription: This project involves the removal of three (3) wood and two (2) glass exterior doors and installation of new doors, hardware, and automatic openers in accordance with the Statement of Work. The contractor shall: 1) Provide all equipment, labor, materials, parts, and suprvision needed to complete the entire project; 2) Obtain measurements and provide commercial-grade aluminum doors to fit existing structures with minimal modification; 3) Remove existing doors and associated hardware; 4) Dispose of all materials removed; 5) Identify and make necessary repairs; 6) Prepare rough openings for installation of new doors and associated hardware; 7) Install new ADA compliant (push button) door openers at 3 entry doors to the visitor center. Photo (motion) sensor door openers at 2 entry doors to the museum; 8) Install new doors and hardware; 9) Install trim and finish as required; and 10) Keep work area clean of debris and equipment. This work shall be performed at the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site Visitor's Center, 7400 Grant Road, St. Louis, MO. Type of Procurement: A firm fixed price contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation.Estimated Range: Between $25,000 and $100,000Time for Completion: 30 calendar days after receipt of Notice to ProceedSet-Aside: This requirement is set-aside for Small Businesses.
