Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) VISN 2 Network Contracting Office (NCO) requires a Contractor that can provide on-site maintenance and service of its Howard Bar Code Medication Administration (BCMA) Medical Carts located throughout the VISN (Buffalo, Canandaigua, Bath, Syracuse, Albany, and Batavia). These carts were manufactured with electrical parts by Howard Medical and, the bases of carts are various models of Lionville (now Metro/Emerson). The BCMA Medical Cart has a laptop integrated with a locking system which must be maintained so that healthcare providers in VISN 2 are able to access the correct medication and also the correct quantity of medication. There are three applicable carts: Howard Large Medical Cart- Part# MCART-003 Howard Medium Medical Cart- Part# MCART-002 Howard Small Medical Cart- Part#MCART-001 The vendor will be responsible for but not limited to; furnish all labor, tools, materials, supervision, transportation and maintenance as well as other items necessary to provide quarterly preventative maintenance and repair; onsite repair and replacement of all electronic parts of cart (next day maintenance); annual on site replacement of 76 batteries. Line Item 0001: On site Howard Medical Carts BCMA service and maintenance in accordance with the Statement of Work. Initial Period of Performance is Apr 1, 2012 through 30 Sep 2012. Option 1: 01 Oct 2012 through 30 Sep 2013 ***Work will be performed IAW the Statement of Work *** Formal solicitation document is expected on or around February 4, 2012. The NAICS is 334111 and the size standard of 1,000 employees.
