Reason for Sole Source: Only one responsible source: the supplies or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Anticipated Contract Award Date: February 6, 2012 Synopsis: The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) intends to issue a sole source award to Prime Recognition Corporation, a small business for PrimeOCR Software Maintenance. PrimeOCR is used on several essential systems throughout the USPTO. The maintenance includes software upgrades, patches, fixes and technical support. PrimeRecognition Software, the software developer, does not have any resellers and is the only source available that can provide the maintenance the USPTO requires. The period of coverage for the maintenance is from date of award through 1 year, with an option period of 1 year. Estimated Dollar Value: $ 177,189.56
