- Notice type: Sources Sought Posting date: February 2, 2012 Response date: February 21, 2012 NAICS code: 334416 - Electronic Coil, Transformer, and other Inductor Manufacturing FSC: 6150 Solicitation #: W912EF-12-R-SS11 This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought (market survey). This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking Business Sources for a supply requirement entitled: "4 Transformer Bushings." The purpose of this sources sought is to determine interest and capability of potential qualified businesses relative to the North American Industry Classification code (NAICS) 334416. To make an appropriate acquisition decision for this project, the Government may use responses to this sources sought. The type of solicitation issued and the manner of advertisement will depend on the responses to this sources sought. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT (1)Your intent to submit a quote for this project when it is formally advertised. (2)Name of firm with address, phone number and point of contact. (3)CAGE Code, DUNS number or a copy of your Central Contractor Registration (CCR) information. (4)Statement of Capability (SOC) stating your skills, experience, knowledge, and equipment required to perform the specified type of work. This should include documentation of past specialized experience and technical competence in fabricating similar products. Firms responding to the sources sought who fail to provide ALL of the required information requested, will not be used to assist the Government in the acquisition decision. The bushings shall be interchangeable with existing bushings having the following nameplate ratings: Manufacturer: Westinghouse Type: O System Voltage: 500KV Max Line to Ground: 318KV Rated Current: 1600 Amps BIL: 1550 KV ANSI "L" Dimension: 75.75 inches The bushings shall be designed to be interchangeable with the existing bushings described above and have the following characteristics: Min Rated Voltage: 500 KV Mine Rated Current: 1600 Amps Min BIL: 1425 KV Min Creep: 290 inches Height above mounting flange: 162.4375 inches plus or minus 1 inch Length below flange: 75.75 inches or minus 1 inch Min Oil Level: 26.5 inches or less Max diameter below flange: 21.625 inches Mounting flange: 28 inch diameter blot circle with 12 slots 1.25 inches in diameter] Terminals: Bolted top and bottom All packaging and shipping requirements shall be the responsibility of the contractor.
