- Data Fusion (DF), Cross Domain Solution (CDS) and User Defined Operational Picture (UDOP) TECHNICAL INTERCHANGE/LAB DAY The purpose of the Technical Interchange/Lab Day is to assist with the development planning for Data Fusion, Cross Domain Solution, and User Defined Operational Picture (UDOP) in support of the 624 Operations Center. The 624 OC requires full spectrum situational awareness of both kinetic and cyber space to effectively exercise command and control of cyber forces to support Air Force and Joint missions. In order to provide meaningful information that will enhance situational awareness, discrete variables are needed to be individually considered for correlation, aggregation, or other forms of analysis that will reduce the cognitive burden of operators and facilitate effective course of action (COA) development and decision making for classified and unclassified information. The Industry Day will be held in the MITRE Facility, Bedford, MA 01730. Specifics are provided in following paragraphs: 1. CONFERENCE: The conference will take place on 14 and 15 March 2012 from 0730 - 1800 hours (EDT) at the MITRE Facility, M Building, 202 Burlington Road, Bedford, MA 01730. The conference will be UNCLASSIFIED. Due to space limitations, attendance is limited to no more than four (4) representatives per company/lab. Any company/lab that wishes to attend the conference must convey its interest and the names of individuals attending no later than 12:00 PM (EST) 27 February 2012. MASS BRIEFING: The Capability Planning Division will give a mass briefing to all registrants regarding the DF, CDS and UDOP Development Planning effort. 3. LAB BRIEFING SESSIONS: The Capability Planning Division will entertain 60 minute sessions. The sessions will be held between 1030 - 1800 hours, on 14 and 15 March 2012. Interested parties must reserve a time slot. Time slots are on a first-come, first-reserved basis. Reservations must be made by 1200 hours ET, 27 February 2012 via the email address above. Please provide a primary time slot request and two alternate time slots. A confirmation e-mail with an information package will be sent once your slot has been confirmed. Unreserved slots, if available, may be reserved in person on 14 and 15 March during registration on the day of the conference. Audience will be cyber engineers, management leaders, and other lab attendees. Please bring all materials needed for your respective sessions. 5. This Technical Interchange/Lab Day is in addition to any published requests for information with the same subject matter. 7. SPECIAL NOTE: This is not a request for proposal, request for quotation, or invitation for bid, nor does its issuance obligate or restrict the Government to an eventual acquisition approach. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of any responses or pay for the preparation of any information submitted or use of such information. All information received will be used for planning and market research purposes only. All information received that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Responses will not be returned.
