- DESCRIPTION: This is a sources sought for information only. This is not a solicitation for quotations and no contract will be awarded from this notice. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledge of potentially qualified sources and their size classifications (small business, large business, etc.) Please do not request a copy of a solicitation, as one does not exist. The Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), Quantico VA is seeking professional, qualified, and experienced sources to provide production copier lease and maintenance services. Services include the overall task objectives as follows: Period of Performance: This contract shall be for a base year and 4 one-year options with PoP beginning on 30 March, 2012. Base Year - 3/30/2012 - 3/29/2013 Option I - 3/30/2013 - 3/29/2014 Option II - 3/30/2014 - 3/29/2015 Option III - 3/30/2015 - 3/29/2016 Option IV - 3/30/2016 - 3/29/2017 Place of Performance: These copiers shall be kept and used at the Russell-Knox Building on Quantico Marine Corp Base at the following address: 27130 Telegraph Rd. Quantico, VA 22134 Average Monthly Usage • Color Copier: 9,000 prints/month 1. 6,000 color prints/month 2. 3,000 black & white prints/month Black and White: 7,000 prints/month One High-speed Black and White Production Copier • Must be new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) equipment • Minimum print resolution of 1200x1200 dpi • 100 pages per minute (letter) • Minimum 200 sheet duplex automatic document feeder up to 11"x17" • Capable of multi-positional stapling (1 or 2 staples) up to 100 sheets • Capable of 2-up saddle stitching and folding (booklet making) a minimum of 20-sheets • Capable of completing both C and Z folds • Capable of completing 2- and 3-hole punches, as well as 19-hole to 44-hole GBC punches for comb and coil bindings • High-capacity paper feeder capable of holding at least 5,000 sheets of paper up to tabloid size (11"x17"), capable of handling up to 110 lb cover stock • Capable of automatically inserting covers, tabs, etc., into documents either during the printing process or as post-production insertion • Must be Windows XP compatible and networkable • Must fit within a 12 foot by 4 foot space and meet 208V power requirement One High-speed Color Production Copier • Must be new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) equipment • Minimum print resolution of 1200x1200 dpi • 65 pages per minute (letter) • Minimum 200 sheet duplex automatic document feeder up to 11"x17" • Capable of multi-positional stapling (1 or 2 staples) up to 100 sheets • Capable of 2-up saddle stitching and folding (booklet making) a minimum of 15 sheets • Capable of completing both C and Z folds • Capable of completing 2- and 3-hole punches, as well as 19-hole to 44-hole GBC punches for comb and coil bindings • High-capacity paper feeder capable of holding at least 4,000 sheets (11"x17"), capable of handling up to 110 lb cover stock • Capable of automatically inserting covers, tabs, etc., into documents either during the printing process or as post-production insertion • Must be Windows XP compatible and networkable • Must fit within a 12 foot by 4 foot space and meet 208V power requirement Service and Supplies All parts and supplies to maintain equipment in acceptable working order and in the condition necessary to produce quality copies, excluding staples and paper "Like for like" replacement of parts and equipment Full service with a 1-hour call back and on site within 24 hours (1 work day) Credits for bad impressions and test impressions used during service calls to be credited on each monthly invoice if applicable. Technical support hotline available during working hours. Support Vendor-provided user training in the use of the covered equipment, including general copy skills and detailed features, upon installation. Electrical receptacles required for the equipment to be provided by the vendor and installed by the customer. Billing Vendor shall provide one monthly invoice, inclusive of all leased equipment (all CLINs), detailed by CLIN. Each CLIN to show serial number, period of performance, monthly charge, beginning and ending meter reads, as applicable. The Government is requesting that interested concerns with backgrounds in the above Copier Lease and Maintenance professional support services furnish the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact, voice and fax telephone numbers and e-mail address. (2) Type of business, i.e., small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, Hub Zone, serviced-disabled veteran-owned small business, large business, etc. under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 532420 which contains a size standard $25 million. (3) Provide white paper outlining company's capabilities including graphics, not to exceed ten pages, single-spaced, Times New Roman, 12 font. Additional graphics will be accepted via website reference directing the Government to demonstrations through virtual environments. All written responses to the Sources Sought must be received by 4:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time (EST) on 08 February 2012 via e-mail to patricia.thomas@afncr.af.mil.
