- Description
- The intent of this solicitation and any resultant contract is to obtain the services of light, high-fixed-wing aircraft fully operated by qualified personnel and equipped to meet specifications for use in missions for the administration and protection of Public Lands administered by the Eastern Region and Northeastern Area. During the Mandatory Availability Period and any extensions thereof, the aircraft will be made available for the exclusive use of the Government seven days per week. There are three designated bases called out in this solicitation. It is anticipated that multiple contract awards will result from this solicitation. A contractor could receive an award of either one or several designated bases. The light fixed wing aircraft furnished will be used for incident support as inspected and carded. Limited to point to point and Aerial Reconnaissance on lands within USFS Region 9. Aircraft may also be used for other project, law enforcement and administrative flights. The Government has interagency and cooperative agreements with other Federal and State Agencies and private landholders. Aircraft may be dispatched for such use. The Government may designate alternate bases for temporary operation. The period of performance of any resultant contract shall be for one (1) base year, plus an additional three (3) optional years.
