- Presolicitation Notice: The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Elizabeth City, NC intends to issue a solicitation for a firm fixed price hourly rate Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), requirements contract for warehouse support services. The Aviation Logistics Division’s (ALD) primary mission is to receive, warehouse, inventory and distribute supplies and materials in support of the USCG Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) mission to conduct depot level maintenance of USCG aircraft and aircraft flown by other Government Agencies as required. The contractor will provide warehouse support services. Funding will be accomplished via a task order. Payment will be based on actual hours of performance at the composite hourly rate. The following labor categories will be required to support this effort: Warehouse Specialist (21 ea) Supply Technician (3 ea) All work will be accomplished at the USCG, ALC, Building 63 and other locations on or off the complex in the surrounding area designated by the government. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about February 15, 2012 via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at http://www.fbo.gov. The RFP number is HSCG38-12-R-410009, hard copies of the RFP will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FedBizOpps site for RFP release and all subsequent amendments. This RFP will be issued as an 8(A) set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 493110. This acquisition will include one base year with two one-year option years. All interested businesses may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the USCG. The Government will award a firm fixed labor hour contract resulting from the RFP to the responsible offeror whose conformance to the RFP will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered which will be identified in the RFP. Anticipated date of award is June 1, 2012.
