- This announcement serves as a Sources Sought Synopsis issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This Sources Sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation nor is this notice a request for quotations. Please do not submit a quote or proposal in response to this synopsis. This sources sought/market survey is seeking interested businesses for competitive consideration. The 20th Contracting Squadron, Shaw AFB SC, is seeking capability packages to determine the sizes and types of businesses available for a firm fixed-price contract for providing the following "Warbirds" for the Shaw AFB Air Expo 2012 Air Show: C-54 Skymaster for static display and an L-6 Cadet for aerial demonstration performance. The contractor(s) shall provide an aircraft that meets the "Warbird" criteria as specified in AFI 10-1004, paragraph 4.2.4. The applicable NAICS code is 713990 with a size standard of $7.0M. All interested firms should provide capability packages to this notice to include at a minimum: 1) Identification of company size and socio-economic status; 2) Certifications, technical and delivery capability, and proof of relevant experience. NOTE: This is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal or a solicitation announcement. Responses are required no later than 6 February 2012 @2:00 PM EST. Please send all Capability Packages to Mr. Daniel P. Kane, Contracting Specialist, via E-mail to daniel.kane@shaw.af.mil or via Fax to 803-895-5339. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this survey nor the return of data provided. As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Government's discretion. The results of this Sources Sought/Market Survey will be considered to be in effect for a period of one year from the date of this notice.
