- The Government intends to award a contract to obtain 2,000 copies of a 9x10 or comparable size book on the last 11 years history of the Fort Worth District of USACE. The published book should be no less than 96 pages and no more than 144 pages perfect bound black and white plus color cover and formatted to be posted as an electronic publication. The Contractor shall perform all research necessary to prepare in a scholarly, professional manner the 11-year update, covering the time period of January 1, 2000 through September 30, 2011, to "Service - Tradition -- Change: A History of the Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 1975-1999" (2000), a published history of the Fort Worth District. The history update shall be composed of a topical narrative presentation with appropriate illustrations, footnotes, bibliography, and appendices. The narrative shall be comprehensive, analytical, and balanced. It shall be written in a clear, crisp style attractive to the general public, and reflect the careful research and thought necessary to find acceptance in the scholarly community. Solicitation will issue on 07 February 2012. Quotes will be due 28 February 2012 by 2:00 PM central standard time. Delivery date is TBD. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 541990. Small Business Size Standard is $7,000,000.00. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for SMALL BUSINESS. Service disabled veteran owned, veteran owned and women owned small businesses are encouraged to submit quotations. Specifications are included in the solicitation and will not be available in paper format. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor the FedBizOps website for amendments to the solicitation. You must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration Database (CCR) to receive a government contract award. You may register with the CCR at http://www.ccr.gov/.
