- Description
- The Army Geospatial Center, Contracts Office intends to award a Sole Source, Fixed Price, Contract to BAE Systems for Socet GXP Geo Analysis software and associated maintenance under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). BAE is the creator/developer of the SOCET GXP GeoAnalysis software and its associated modules. The Warfighter Geospatial Support and Production Directorate (WGSP) of AGC requires the use of an advanced, automated, viewing software application to produce information and data that is accurately referenced to facilitate the production, manipulation, and dissemination of image and vector data. BAE Systems is the only company that develops, produces, and sells the SOCET GXP software maintenance and package necessary to run the GXP software. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541519. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date is 9 February 2012 by 4:00 p.m. EST. For additional information, please contact Elvie A.
