- This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors to provide Roof Repair at Building 585, Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily, Italy by means of a firm fixed price construction contract. The requirements will be procured utilizing simplified acquisition procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238160. The estimated price range is less than ‚¬18,727.50 Euros. The anticipated requirements include both civil and electrical works. Civil work include removal of existing built up roof system, removal of existing membranes, existing roof insulation panels, exiting metal perimeter fascia and underneath wood block, installation of new perimeter treated wood block, new rigid insulation, two layer of new membranes one shall be type polyester 4 mm thick and one shall be type mineral 4 mm thick and installation of new perimeter galvanized metal fascia 10/10 mm thickness. The electrical work include removal of existing LPS system and reinstallation after civil works have been completed, replacement of damaged conductor and concrete support where conductor are bent, testing of LPS system for continuity to ground after work is completed. The anticipated period of performance is 45 calendar days. Offerors can view and/or download the solicitation via the European Navy Electronic Commerce Online (EURONECO) website at https://euro.neco.navy.mil when it becomes available. All interested offerors shall register at this website. However, registration does not release bidders from the responsibility of checking the solicitation daily for any amendments or other notices. The solicitation is expected to be posted on 6 February 2012. Quotes are expected to be due on 16 February 2012 at 4:00PM Central European Time (CET). All dates are tentative and are subject to change. This is an internet only solicitation so paper copies will not be provided. A pre bid conference and site visit will be indicated on the solicitation documents.
