- All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered. The subject requirement is for the acquisition of one (1) NSN for a Hose Assembly Set, Nonmetallic. The approved sources for this NSN are as follows: ENGINEERED AIR SYSTEMS, INC. DBA (90598) P/N 78010-100 and EATON INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION (0DT23) P/N FK6025UUU6000. This proposed procurement includes an item within the Federal Supply Class 4720. The proposed contract will be Unrestricted with other than full and open competition. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. The requirement will result in an award of a Contract with a 100% option.. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on February 28, 2012 at the following web site: http://dibbs.dscccols.com/rfp. The scope of this contract includes the acquisition of a 3 L item which means that the annual buy value of this part falls below the screening the threshold established by DOD components and field activities. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activities procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The delivery for this acquisition will be FOB Destination with Inspection & Acceptance at Destination. The final award decision will be based upon an evaluation of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors.. This solicitation will be issued as UNRESTRICTED.
