- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled DRAFT REQUEST FOR PORPOSAL,SOLICITATION NO.EXC11-01 which was posted on January 26,2012.You are notified that the following changes are made: Clarification of Draft Request forProposal Responses.The due date for responses is not extended.The NASA/Kennedy Space Center Exchange has released a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP)for the Food Service Program at Kennedy Space Center (KSC)The DRFP is not a solicitation and the Exchange is not requesting proposals. Thispre-solicitation synopsis is for planning and information purposes only. It is NOT to beconstrued as a commitment by the Exchange nor will the Exchange pay for any informationsolicited. Previous releases regarding the food service program at KSC were a Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information under reference numbers: KSC EXCHANGE dated November 1, 2011. Comments related to the draft RFP and attachment A-K are requested on or before February17, 2012 at 4:00 PM Eastern Time to be considered. The Exchange will not respond to, orrelease comments,but will consider all comments when finalizing the Request for Proposal.Comments should not contain proprietary markings and must be submitted via email to:Xaivian.L.Raymond@nasa.gov. Any questions submitted by prospective offerors will not be responded to directly by theExchange. The questions submitted by prospective offerors and the KSC Exchangesresponse will be posted to the NAIS website.Prospective offerors are invited to comment on all aspects of the DRFP. Prospectiveofferors are encouraged to identify any areas in the DRFP that are not clear, areambiguous, or otherwise warrant additional information or clarification in the finalRequest for Proposal (RFP). The Exchange is particularly interested in comments for the operation of the followingcomponents of the food service program at KSC:a.One (1) Traditional cafeteria: Provide a variety of creative, appetizing, andnutritionally sound breakfast and lunch offerings.b.One (1) Food court: Manage and oversee a minimum of four branded concepts with avariety of choices for breakfast and lunch. c.One (1) Independent branded restaurant: Provide a breakfast and lunch venue featuring arecognizable and successful brand that provides quality food. d.Food services for Child Development Center (see Attachment B, section B.3 for moredetails)The Exchange has scheduled time for industry to participate in a KSC site visit. The sitevisit will be for the purpose of touring food service facilities located at KSC. The sitevisit is scheduled on February 3, 2012. Interested parties are required to inform XaivianRaymond via email at Xaivian.L.Raymond@nasa.gov by 2:00 PM EST on January 30, 2012. The draft solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be availableover the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, whichmay be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site or Uniform ResourceLocator (URL) for the NASA/KSC Business Opportunities page ishttp://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=76 The tentative date for the release of the RFP is on or about March 2, 2012. It is theofferors responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the final RFPand amendments (if any). Potential offerors are responsible for downloading thesolicitation and any amendments. Any referenced notes may be viewed at the URL identifiedbelow. Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation andany amendments.
