Description
The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk Contracting Office, Philadelphia site, intends to acquire 1 each SUV mounted Two Way Satellite Time and Frequency Transfer Vehicle including the truck, satellite dish, communication hardware, and associated gear. Delivery is F.O.B. destination Washington, DC ZIP code 20392, approximately 90 days after day of contract or sooner. This is a Brand Name or Equal procurement. Alternative brands must show capabilities that meet or exceed the following description: Two Way Satellite Time and Frequency Transfer Vehicle Requirement: Provide a complete SUV mounted Two Way Satellite Time and Frequency Transfer Vehicle including the truck, satellite dish, communication hardware, and associated gear. Entire system must be a safe, functional, self-sufficient mobile system capable of operating in a large range of environments. All equipment including the vehicle must meet or exceed current national electrical code, OSHA safety, and vehicle safety standards. Vendor must maintain a repair facility within 100 mile range of the USNO Washington DC location. The repair facility must be able to facilitate maintenance to all elements of the vehicle including, but not limited to, power systems, environmental control systems, and satellite communication hardware. A formal request for proposals will be issued approximately 15 days from the date of this posting. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded as a result of this request for proposals. This requirement is in support of the U.S. Naval Observatory, Washington, DC. The offerors technical proposals will be considered more important than the price proposals.
