Description
Justification to use Sole Source DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Coast Guard intends to procure the services of a contractor to provide a "Joint Women's Leadership Symposium" for the purpose of retention of military officers and Diversity Strategic Plan as per attached Justification. The symposium will host 300 Coast Guard members in two large conference spaces at the National Harbor Gaylord Resort with A/V equipment, one projector and six microphones (1 wireless). This proposed procurement is for a service for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis to SSLA- Sea Service Leadership Association located at 3141 Country Lake Drive in Powder Springs, GA In order to comply with the requirements in this Solicitation NOTE22- PZC001, the responses should be based on our interpretation of the general requirements provided below. Note 22. The proposed contract action is for a continuation of previous services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all quotes received within the time and date of publication of this "Special Note 22" will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. HOW TO RESPOND: In order to compete for this project, interested parties must be registered in the Central Contracting Registration and submit a price quotation by 10:00 am, ET, February 3rd,2012. Offerors may either submit one copy of the quote to MOHAMED FILALI, USCG Headquarters- SILC Washington Detachment, Room 1615, 2100 Second St. SW, Washington, DC 20593 by mail, fax (202-372-4905) or preferably via email. Electronic transmissions to Mohamed.Filali@uscg.mil are preferable, but must be timely. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to ensure the quotation is received by the date and time shown above. Evaluation Criteria: Award based on lowest price technically acceptable as well as best value determined by an Evaluating team such as Past Performance, Price, proximity to US Coast Guard HQ...
