- Description
- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE - Construct Clinical Addition B-400, Minor Project, at the VA Medical Center in Tomah, WI. Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, temporary protection, qualified supervision, overtime, and other items designated under the provisions of this contract as outlined in the contract specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. Project consists of a three story infill at an existing clinical building of approximately 3,400 SF with an additional 12,500 SF of adjacent renovation. Project includes demolition of existing masonry and steel stud walls, construction of the new steel structure with curtain wall and brick exterior. Interior build out will be primarily steel stud and drywall with a small amount of masonry interior walls. Project will include all plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems for a 1st floor clinical/business occupancy, 2nd floor laboratory and a third floor dental suite. Execution will include a number of phases and a significant amount of afterhours work to facilitate keeping the existing clinical and laboratory spaces in operation. Site work will include new connections to existing sanitary and storm sewer mains. The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be posted on FedBizOpps. There will be a pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. This solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms. The solicitation will be issued on or about March 1, 2012 with the bid opening on or about April 10, 2012. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 Million applies. Time for completion is 550 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
