Description

The synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is a single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access the information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure on sole source basis training and simulation hardware upgrades, software updates, and support from Kongsberg Maritime Simulation, Inc. The hardware upgrades include replacement of imaging generators and projects, server, bridge PCs and instructor PCs on the existing Kongsberg simulation systems. Software upgrades and support include updates, patches and fixes to conform to the most current version of Polaris, the existing system installed on USN NTTS systems. See the attached statement of work (SOW) for full description of requirement including other required hardware, software, and support upgrades and updates not listed above. Kongsberg Maritime Simulation is located at 70 Essex Ct., Mystic, CT, 06355-3315. Cage Code: 1KW45 Delivery is to be made to two separate locations. Both locations are listed below. Pricing shall be included as FOB Destination to each Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS) Detachment (East & West) locations. Please include any shipping/freight costs for half the hardware, software and support as FOB Destination Norfolk, VA 23511 AND half the hardware, software and support as FOB Destination Coronado, CA 92155. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be utilized for award in accordance with FAR Part 13. The order shall be firm fixed price. DFAR 252.232-7003 (Electronic Submission of Payment Requests and Receiving Reports) is applicable to this purchase. Pricing should be FOB Destination to the UNREP/SEAMANSHIP - BLDG 3870, 11 TH ST., NAB LITTLE CREEK NORFOLK, VA 23511 AND 7 METER RHIB COXSWAIN - 3423 GUADALCANAL RD, CORONADO, CA 92155. Quotes shall also include company cage code, DUNS #, and federal tax identification #. In order to be eligible for award, firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Offerors may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at https://www.ccr.gov. A formal request for quote will not be issued as all items are identified in this synopsis. Quote is due 30 January 2012, no later than 12:00 p.m. EST with an anticipated award date by 7 February 2012. Quotes may be submitted by Email in Microsoft Word or Adobe pdf format to daniel.belcher@navy.mil or by Fax to: 540-653-0592.
