Description
REQUEST FOR INDUSTRY BRIEFING: Ground-based Flight Termination System Vendors Range Commanders Council, Telecommunications and Timing Group February 2012, Palmdale CA 1. The Telecommunications and Timing Group (TTG) of the Range Commanders Council (RCC) would like to extend the invitation to those vendors who are actively involved in producing equipment and systems which are used for supporting ground-based Flight Termination Systems (FTS) to present a technology brief to the group during their spring meeting. There is a single briefing slot available during the meeting and the briefing should follow the RCC guidelines (see attached) unless otherwise stated. This briefing will be at no cost to the group or the Government. 2. Meeting dates: The fall meeting is scheduled for 7-9 Feb 2012 in Palmdale, CA. The technology brief is tentatively scheduled to take place on Tuesday afternoon during the aforementioned meeting dates. 3. Presentations: The presentation should be no longer than 60 min and give some insight into the current state of the Flight Safety/FTS industry as it applies to ground-based systems. The floor would be open to questions after the presentation for approximately 30 minutes. The group will provide a computer, projector, and screen for the presentation. The vendor is expected to provide a copy of the brief for inclusion in the group minutes and it must not contain restrictive markings such as "Proprietary" or "Sensitive". 4. Briefing material: The presenter is expected to provide an electronic copy of the briefing to the group and it will be part of the group's permanent minutes. The briefings must not contain any proprietary information or be marked as such. The TTG minutes are archived on the private RCC website. Any visual aids, such as equipment, are encouraged to be small enough to be passed around the audience, but can include full-sized items. Full demonstrations of the equipment during the briefing are not allowed. 5. Other: Each vendor is requested to limit the amount of personnel supporting the presentation to no more than two people. The vendors are not allowed to sit in on other vendor's briefings or the Government-only briefings during the meeting. Person to contact for questions is Mr. Darrin Loken at 575-678-2492 or darrin.k.loken.civ@mail.mil.
