- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because there is only one responsible source due to patent or data rights requirements, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements (FAR 6.302-1). See posted J&A for further information. The Government intends to make a sole source award to Harris Corporation, 2400 Palm Bay RD NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905-3377. The Government intends to issue a firm-fixed priced contract for the evaluation, testing and repair of equipment manufactured by Harris for the HIMARS System repairs at Letterkenny Army Depot. The Government does not possess sufficient documentation to acquire this service from other than the current source. A technical data package, which defines all engineering and quality requirements is not available and cannot be provided. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 7 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
