- Draft Statement of Work for Linen Service SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT The U.S. Forest Service Job Corps Acquisition Support Branch is issuing this Sources Sought to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources to establish and maintain Linen delivery services at Jacobs Creek Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center located at 984 Denton Valley Road, Bristol, TN 37620. Job Corps requests demonstration of capability by interested contractors through submittal of a capability statement. In addition, Job Corps requests all interested parties (whether submitting a capability statement or not) to add their company information to the Interested Vendors List tab associated with this notice on FedBizOpps. The Government anticipates making a single contract award to fulfill this requirement for up to 5 years. DISCLAIMER This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought announcement only. As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this SSA are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The decision to release a contract solicitation shall be made solely at the Government's discretion. This Sources Sought is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any Government assessments. BACKGROUND Job Corps offers a comprehensive array of career development services to economically disadvantaged young men and women, ages 16-24, to prepare them for successful careers. Job Corps uses a hands-on approach for all its training programs. The Job Corps program offers educational and vocational skills training through a unique approach of competency-based, individualized instruction. Students apply their training in real work settings both on-center and through Job Corps' WBL. The combination of training and support services is designed to help each enrollee become a responsible, productive member of society. DESCRIPTION Provide laundry services for approximately 224 students' bed linens at Jacobs Creek Job Corps. The Center will have a count of each item that is picked and the vendor will sign for those items, when the items are returned they will be matched against what was picked up. The students are provided with clean linen for their sleeping areas on a weekly basis. The students exchange linens once every week that consists of one (1) pillow case, one (1) blanket, one (1) flat sheet, and one (1) fitted sheet. One dorm each week will add to their linen exchange a comforter. The items listed will be the only linen items to be laundered each week. Please note: Linens will not be picked up during the two (2) yearly breaks which occur in the summer and winter. STATEMENT OF WORK A draft Statement of Work (SOW) for Linen Service is attached. CAPABILITY STATEMENT The Government requests demonstration of capability by companies or other entities interested in performing this requirement as a prime contractor through submittal of a capability statement. All capability statements shall: 1. Include company or entity name, address, DUNS, and contact information for primary points of contact. 2. Include business classification(s): Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Small Disadvantaged Business [SDB], Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business [SDVOSB], Women-Owned Small Business [WOSB], Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business [EDWOSB], or Other Than Small Business. 3. Include information demonstrating your capability to perform all tasks described in the draft SOW. 4. Include feedback regarding the requirements in the Draft SOW. 5. Not exceed 5 pages in length, excluding cover page. 6. Avoid use of excessive marketing brochures and unnecessary sales literature. SUBMISSION INFORMATION The Government intends to consider all comments when developing its final acquisition strategy and any resulting RFQ. Any resulting synopsis, solicitation, amendments or other information related to this Sources Sought will be posted via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov). All interested parties are encouraged to regularly check FedBizOpps for updates. Please provide the Capability Statement described above via email no later than 12:00pm MT on February 1, 2012 to Stephanie Lawrence at slawrence02@fs.fed.us.
