- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Iowa City VA Health Care System has a requirement for 0.25 full-time equivalent (FTE) Gynecology Physician services to provide Gynecology Coverage (Clinic/Consult/Surgical Procedures/Emergent Care) services to beneficiaries of the Iowa City Veterans Health Care System. The contractor is to provide the services of.25 FTE Gynecology Physician(s) to the Iowa City VA Health Care System. The services will be procured under the authority of Public Law 104-262 and 38 USC 8153. Gynecology Clinic will be every Monday and Thursday afternoon scheduled from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM or as directed by the Chief of Staff and/or his/her designee in accordance with medical center policy. Contractor shall be available for emergency consultation, as needed. The place of performance will be at the Iowa City VA Health Care System, 601 Hwy 6 West, Iowa City, IA, or when authorized, at the contractor's facility. The period of performance will be 12 months from the contract award date with four, 12 month options available. The solicitation package will be posted approximately February 3, 2012. Tentative date of receipt of proposals is February 17, 2012 by 4:30 P.M. CST. This procurement in not set aside and is being advertised as unrestricted. The applicable NAICS code is 621999 which has a small business size standard of $10 Million. The contractor shall be responsible for providing his/her own housing, transportation, malpractice insurance, professional membership fees, continuing education costs, sick leave and vacation time.
