- 8(a) Firms to Participate in the 8(a) Capabilities Conference Synopsis CONFERENCE INFORMATION: The Savannah District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is currently seeking and soliciting 8(a) firms interested in participating in an 8(a) Capabilities Conference. The conference is open to 8(a) firms only. 8(a) firms who are interested must have the capability to provide planning, design, construction, environmental services, and dredging to the Savannah District and/or the South Atlantic Division. PURPOSE: This conference serves as an opportunity for 8(a) firms to present their capabilities to the Savannah District. Priority will be given to those firms who have NOT previously held contracts with the Savannah District. However, firms that have experience with the Savannah District will still be considered. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Interested firms desiring to participate in the 8(a) conference must respond by submitting your firm’s name, complete address, telephone number, and 8(a) eligibility status along with a brief overview of your company’s capabilities and any specific area for Performance of Work that is of your interest so long as these sites are located within the South Atlantic Division Area of Responsibility. Each firm who meets these requirements and is selected to participate will be permitted three (3) representatives to attend the conference. Responses must be submitted via email to Sadie.D.Boone@usace.army.mil by 02 February 2012. ****PERSONAL VISITS for the purpose of DISCUSSING this announcement WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED. The date established for the purpose of allowing interested firms to present their qualifications to the Savannah District Corps of Engineers representatives is tentatively scheduled for 29 February 2012. The selection of firms will be for those firms that have the capabilities to meet the Savannah District Corps of Engineers specific requirements. There will be a maximum of twenty-seven (27) firms selected to present. The selected firms will be contacted to provide specific information and assignment of a presentation time by 08 February 2012. ****THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
