Description
The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk Contracting Department, Groton Office seeks qualified sources capable of refurbishing/upgrading six (6) Aero 51B Munitions Carts (Trailer)(Part # 67A314F100-1) and eight (8) Aero 51D Munitions Carts to the condition and functionality of Aero 51E Munitions Carts (Part No. 3922AS100-1) utilizing technology and processes matching or exceeding those used in the Conversion in Lieu of Procurement (CILOP) Program and a Zero Maintenance Program (ZMP). The purpose of this requirement is to modernize existing Aero 51B and 51D carts (trailers)running gear and electrical systems to the latest state of the art technology; thus, eliminating maintenance requirements. The Aero 51B and 51D Munitions Carts are located at Naval Submarine Support Facility, Groton, CT. This is a SYNOPSIS for commercial services prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, and FAR Part 15 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This synopsis shall be posted on both the FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (https://www.neco.navy.mil/). The Request for Proposal (RFP) number is N00189-12-R-G002. The NAICS code is 811198 - All Other Automotive Repair & Maintenance. The small business standard is $7.0 Million. This is a Full & Open (Unrestricted) business size competitive action. Questions regarding technical or contractual issues must be addressed to the Contract Specialist via e-mail or fax ONLY. This RFP will incorporate provisions and clauses in effect through FAR and DFARS. It is the vendors responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. Lack of registration in the central contractor registration (CCR) database (www.ccr.gov) will make a vendor ineligible for award. The government anticipates release of the RFP during February 2012.
